the beginning...


Husband and wife duo Alex and Leslie Olano started their business in November 2013. Alex has been a cook and in the restaurant industry for years. He is from Lima, Peru and used his Grandma's recipe of her traditional Peruvian baked empanada as the inspiration for Olano's Empanadas. 


All of their empanadas are baked with fresh ingredients. Currently, they rent a shared kitchen incubator at HALO in Racine. The program is called Recipe for Success and has helped them get their business off the ground.


Due to their hard work and dedication, Alex and Leslie were able to purchase and design a mobile food truck. The truck is unique and allows them to sell their empanadas at food truck events. Wedding "Late Night Snacks" have been very successful with their food truck!   

Alex and Leslie are thankful to their family for supporting them since day one and thank each and every customer they’ve gained along the way.
